Twas the night before sailing...

...and all through the Cinkewicz's house, spread far and wide were packages and boxes, bags and suitcases filled with items to be moved onto our boat first thing in the morning...

We just came back yesturday from the Annual McFadden Family gathering in Avalon and I am in NO way ready to pack up, clean out, or organize anything.  Mike said to me a couple of weeks ago (in reference to why he knows I actually do want to go on this trip) "You are so stubborn that if you dont want to do something, you just wont"...yea, well I really dont want to finish packing, so pointless blog time, yea!!!   (yes, I know the procrastination saying)
The hardest part about this whole situation, isnt the actual sail for me...its condensing my and Mike's life down to the bare min.  I by no means think we are/were materialistic, but dear lord do we have a lot of crap! We weeded and reweeded a bunch of times, but yet still today I had to go through and think "Do I really need 3 sweatshirts? 7 pair of jeans? or 6 different kinds of shampoo?   Answer is no...not because I dont think I actually need them, but more cause I have no where to put it!!!
Which then leads onto the other issuse I am facing...storage.  If anyone has some creative ideas, please let me know!  I am going from a 6x9 kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 3.5 closets, huge bathrooms to a 37' sail...with only one small closet....which Mike claimed, so...
Plan as of now is to load starting at 7am...we hope to be finished by 4ish to set sail for the Atlantic Highlands.  Its only a 2 hour est sail, but we want to leave from there for the big journey down the Jersey Coast.  Plus side, we will be eventually staying in Atlantic City (Golden Nuggest Marina) so, could be fun to join us for a night!

Our food and dry goods run to Walmart, ShopRite and BJ's wasnt too bad...really had to talk ourselves out of some items...and actually Walmart was the worst and wayyy over budget...boo. Since no one else seemed to ever actually list the provisions for a trip like this (sail around the world, yes...sail down the ICW, no..)  I will create a list and some must haves as another entry...

Its also the last night with Salty Dog until 15/16 of September!!!  Going to miss my puppy like whoa!!!

SO sleepy.  cant wait until the Cheasapeak so I can be lazy and sleep in, and take random cat naps in the sun on deck!
